Bliss

E is one week old today, and I swear, I have never met a calmer, happier baby. She eats, she sleeps, she cries briefly if she needs a diaper change or we put her in the car seat, and she snuggles. I am blown away at how happy and sweet this past week has been. Of course, I still haven't been alone with both kids for more than an hour at a time (my in-laws, bless them, are taking shifts to come up and be with us because The Boy went back to work this morning), but still, things are good.

I think all babies should be second babies.

I"m working on the birth story,but the downside to having wonderful supportive help at all times is that I also lack privacy at pretty much all times, so maintaining this blog is a challenge. Things should be back to normal(ish) in a week or so.
